{the worst week ever}
So, I hesitated to blog about our week because honestly I am still a wreck! In fact tears are streaming right now as I just begin to think about writing this. There are too many things that went wrong this week to go into detail about, but the worst was taking our little girl to the ER after a can of chicken broth fell on her head while she was in our pantry. I can still hear her screams over & over in my head. Thank goodness Brad was home from work early because he went in early that morning. (God was really watching out after us there!) So after waiting for 4 hours in the ER they stitched Emme up and we brought our precious girl home. Brad had to stay in the hospital room with her because I just couldn't bear to see her being held down. Well, by the look in Brad's face & his tears he couldn't bear it either, but I am so thankful he stayed strong for our family. I remember looking at the clock at 10pm when we finally laid the kids down for the night. We were all emotionally and physically exhausted.
Everyone at the hospital kept telling us how good of a baby Emme was. She was sitting on my lap while we were waiting, and her wound still wide open and blood all over her face where she had smeared it and all the while she was clapping her hands and giggling. Oh, that girl is the sweetest thing!
So, she is doing better and we go to the Dr. on Monday to hopefully get the stitches out and discuss scaring etc. We are thankful for God's grace that give us strength to make it through one day at a time.
I'm sorry to anyone that I haven't returned messages to yet, just give me a couple more days and I promise I'll get back to you!

Ugh. Tough week for you guys for sure. It sounds like Emme is a tough little cookie though! She looks happy as a clam now at least! :)
