Today was Chase's apt. with his parent educator, Melissa. Since he turned 2 they are now doing more "standardized" testing/evaluations to check on his development. This helps our school district recognize potential development problems early and consequently help the children earlier. So today he was tested on his receptive language and auditory comprehension. I couldn't believe the questions he was able to answer in addition to the fact that she was working with him for about 30 min. and he never moved and LOVED figuring out all the things she was asking of him. Well, to make a long story short, she gave me his scores at the end and proceeded to tell me that while he is only 28months old he is scoring in the 48-53 month range. Wow! I was so proud of him. When you are around him you can tell that he enjoys learning & figuring things out - clearly this must be a gift God has given him and it's neat to see it at such a young age.
Emme is already very different, she is WAY more verbal/social. She claps, sings, dances and is always talking (even though we don't know what she's saying). We look forward to observing some of her gifts in the future!

Neat! All I have to say though, is look out. You're going to be in for it. The smart ones are always tougher. :)
Melanie,
I figured out how to leave a comment-finally!-Love those black and whites of Emme!!-I was able to get some pics off to your mom last night-not quite the quality of yours, but at least you will be able to start seeing our little ones. Sounds like Chase is reaaly ahead of himself-what a fine mind.
