June.10

It was a wonderful, busy, birthday weekend for Chase. We still can't believe we have a three year old. The theme was trains - one of his favorite things. He was VERY specific this year on what he wanted for his birthday (party hats, party horns, chocolate ice cream etc. etc.). He was asking me for weeks, "mama, is today my birthday party?"

The slide was a HUGE hit. (as you'll see in the photos below) Laura, from Brad's work, very generously offered to loan it to us for his party. We knew they'd all like it, but we had NO idea how much. They basically played on it the entire day except for times we asked them to take a break. I even did an impromptu run down the slide in my clothes, at Chase's request (Brad has video if I get brave enough to post it). I know Chase's expressions look like he is horrified, but he loved it! We finished off the weekend taking Chase to the Cardinal's game. It's become our annual birthday tradition. Super fun weekend!

this was chase right before we opened presents . . . tired, tired, tired!
this is how we found him Monday night after everyone had left . . asleep in his chair, too exhausted to even walk over into bed!

The "tired, tired, tired" photo of Chase leaning on the table, is perhaps my favorite photo of yours--ever!!!! That is just too cute.

What a fun day! Melanie,, I was just looking at your photography web site---what a gift you have. I would like to get on your schedule to get the pics of the kids. Do you have any openings on weekends left?
