So, we have this "love/hate" relationship with our grocery store Dierberg's. We love their customer service, but hate their prices. They just don't compete with a Meijer or Walmart. We always think that we should just go to the run down old Shop-N-Save (where you bag your own groceries) so we could save a few bucks, but then we go to Dierbergs and we ALWAYS have some great experience. Last time I went to Dierbergs in the pouring down rain. I had Emme's heavy seat on one arm, carried Chase in the other arm, diaper bag was I don't even remember where etc.etc. All the sudden I was half way across the parking lot when a Dierberg's associate came over to help. She saw me struggling out the store window!
So, then yesterday. . . .we were checking out and the cute old man was talking to Chase. This guy is there quite often, because he always gives Chase a sticker and a "high five", which makes Chase's day. Anyway, there was a Cardinal balloon hanging at the checkout. Of course Chase loved it and kept talking about the "nal" balloon and how daddy has a "nal" shirt and so does Chase and they have a 5 on the back of their shirts. So, the checker says - I'll be right with you I need to step away for a minute. When he returned he had a Cardinal's balloon for Chase! He even put a clip on it so it wouldn't fly off if Chase let go. Oh, did Chase's eyes light up! We don't know if this guy just bought it for Chase out of his paycheck or what. BUT. . .. once again, we are loyal, returning Dierberg's customers!!

chase didn't want to put the balloon down, so it "sat" with him at dinner :)
